Overview

Gitzo Traveler tripod is the most compact carbon fiber tripod in the world, it is the right solution for photographers looking for lightweight and compactness in pure state in a professional tripod, when traveling (and flying) is a common practice.

It uses a unique patented 180o folding mechanism that accommodates a head inside the folded tripod legs, which makes this the smallest folded tripod for its open size and number of sections, It is 25% shorter than standard tripod when folded.

Gitzo Traveler tripod uses advanced "Carbon 6X" carbon fiber, a material that guarantees structural strength, maximizes rigidity, vibration absorption and lightweight performance.

Gitzo GT1542T Traveler tripod is an excellent choice for compact digital cameras and DSLRs, or even for lightweight camcorders. When used with an SLR or DSLR, the Traveler is ideal for 135mm lens, and can be used with lenses up to 200mm.

Ground Level Set
The center column is removable to save weight and allow for low shooting position. No tools needed.


G-Lock
The redesigned G-Lock achieve 20% increases in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock also provides a “gravity lock” effect : the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.


ALR (Anti Leg Rotation System)
ALR for ultra fast and smooth operation. With ALR it is possible to open a 5-section traveler tripod in less than 15 seconds.


Rapid Column
The center column locking collar above the tripod shoulder makes it easier to adjust the column quickly. A grooved design prevents rotation of the column and improves system stability.


Reversible Column
The rapid column can easily be inverted for an alternative shooting angle or low level macro work.


Hook
This built in accessory allow you to hang stabilizing wight (e.g. a full camera bag or sand/ water bag) from the bottom of the tripod center column. Useful with long heavy lenses, on uneven ground or in windy conditions. The hook can hold up to 18 kg.
